    White GMC Co. Information

Founded in 1900, White Motor Co. was an American automobile and truck manufacturer until 1980. White Motor was founded by Thomas White and also produced bicycles, roller skates, automatic lathes, and sewing machines. White was located in Cleveland, Ohio.

After World War II, White made the decision to produced only large trucks. During this time several truck companies were acquired. These included Sterling, Autocar, Diamond T, and REO. The company started the Western Star division in 1967 to sell trucks on the west coast.
